TRIBUNNEWS.COM – The Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri), Muhammad Tito Karnavian, accompanied the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, at the Launch of the Learning Digitalization Program for a Smart Indonesia, held at State Junior High School 4 in Bekasi City, West Java, on Monday (17/11/2025).
The minister’s presence reaffirms the government’s commitment to accelerating educational transformation through the use of technology across all regions.
As the ministry responsible for guiding and overseeing local governments, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) plays a key role in ensuring that digital learning policies are implemented evenly.
During the event, President Prabowo directly inspected the students’ learning facilities. He also took part in a teaching session in a classroom equipped with a digital interactive flat panel (IFP). In addition, the President held a virtual dialogue with several teachers and students from various regions.
In his speech, President Prabowo called on all stakeholders to continue supporting educational progress through technological digitalization. He emphasized that the presence of digital interactive panels is part of the effort to accelerate the transformation of the national education system.
“Education is the key to a nation’s revival. Only through education can we become a successful country,” President Prabowo stated.
Furthermore, the Head of State explained that, historically, national leaders placed great importance on education as a means to achieve Indonesia’s independence. This included pesantren, schools, and institutions such as Taman Siswa.
He stressed that education is the key to success and a crucial step in mastering science. Through this mastery, the nation’s wealth can be properly managed.
President Prabowo reaffirmed that education transformation in Indonesia remains one of the government’s priority programs. Various learning facilities continue to be developed to make the system competitive with schools in developed countries.
“I can already see clear signs of this program’s potential success. But we must not become complacent,” he emphasized.
For reference, the launch of this program was attended online by 1,337 schools across 38 provinces. This initiative is part of the ongoing effort to strengthen human resource development toward an advanced and competitive Indonesia.
Also present at the event were the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Pratikno, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti, the Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid, the Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi, and other relevant officials.
