KOMPAS.TV – Indonesia’s education revolution is currently underway. Through the Fast Best Results Program (PHTC), President Prabowo Subianto has introduced four main education programs that serve as the foundation toward Golden Indonesia 2045: school rehabilitation, learning digitalization, support for honorary/contract teachers, and educational assistance for teachers who do not yet hold D4 or S1 degrees.
Based on Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 7 of 2025 on the Revitalization of Educational Units, Garuda Excellent Senior High Schools, and Learning Digitalization, learning digitalization has become one of the most strategic breakthroughs to achieve equal quality of education across Indonesia.
Smart Classrooms in 288,865 Schools
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is targeting 288,865 education units across Indonesia to receive interactive digital boards, or Interactive Flat Panels (IFP). This program is supported by smart classroom devices and a technology-based learning platform called Ruang Murid, which is part of the Rumah Pendidikan super-app.
The presence of these interactive digital boards encourages teachers to explore creative teaching methods. Students can interact directly with learning materials, making the process more participatory and enjoyable while also improving visual understanding of concepts.
From Jakarta to Jayapura: Equalization Without Limits
A total of 4,980 schools in Jakarta have already received interactive digital boards. Ahmad Fauzan and Keyla Mutia Apple, sixth-grade students from class 6-C at SDN Kebon Kosong 17, said that learning has become clearer, more engaging, and less boring.
Not only in Jakarta, this program is also evenly implemented all the way to eastern Indonesia. In Papua Province, 1,393 education units are targeted to receive interactive digital boards. In the first phase in Jayapura City, as of October 2025, 187 education units had received the boards, including 44 PAUD (early childhood centers), 78 elementary schools, 42 junior high schools, and 23 senior high schools.
SMP Negeri 6 Jayapura is one proof that education technology is no longer the monopoly of big-city schools. Students in Papua can now enjoy learning facilities comparable to those in Jakarta, opening equal opportunities for achievement and a bright future.
