Temanggung, Beritasatu.com – President Prabowo Subianto is accelerating the digitalization of education through the provision of smart boards. This initiative is a key strategy for revitalizing schools in order to develop superior human resources toward the goal of Indonesia Emas 2045.
The benefits of this program have been felt in various regions, including SD Negeri Wanutengah, Bulu District, Temanggung Regency, Central Java. The principal of SD Negeri Wanutengah, Hartatik Ida Setiyani, stated that the presence of smart boards has dramatically changed the classroom atmosphere, making the learning process more interactive and engaging for students.
“When using manual methods, children are sometimes less interested because there are no images or colors. With smart boards, the display is more attractive, making students more enthusiastic,” said Hartatik in Temanggung, Saturday (13/12/2025).
According to Hartatik, this digital device greatly helps teachers in delivering learning materials. The learning process has become more engaging thanks to visuals, colors, and images that help students better understand concepts. The use of smart boards is relatively easy, almost the same as operating a smartphone or laptop, although teachers initially received technical assistance.
“Elementary school students really enjoy it because the display is attractive and colorful. This makes them more eager to follow lessons,” she added, comparing it with conventional chalkboard-based methods.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Temanggung Regency Office of Education, Youth, and Sports (Dindikpora), Agus Sujarwo, confirmed that the central government has distributed smart boards across various education levels. As of November 2025, Temanggung Regency has received a total of 708 units.
Agus detailed that the smart boards have been distributed to nearly all education levels. A total of 434 public and private elementary schools have almost entirely received the assistance. At the junior high school (SMP) level, of 86 schools, all have received the devices except for one newly established school. For kindergarten and early childhood education (TK/PAUD), out of 636 institutions, only 188 smart boards have been distributed so far.
“At present, the distribution is still one device per school, not one per classroom. Our hope is that in the future, every classroom will have a smart board,” Agus said.
Agus explained that these devices greatly support the learning process as they are equipped with educational applications, visual learning media, interactive features, and even coding introduction. At the SMP level, devices distributed at the end of November will begin active use after the semester break.
“Smart boards make it easier for teachers to deliver materials because teaching resources are already installed. Besides being used like a computer, the device can also be used for manual writing. For example, drawing a circle in mathematics class can be done perfectly and instantly,” he concluded.
